Rating: 5 out of 5 Series book: Yes Will I read the next book: I don't know.. Yes probably Just looking at the title of Vampire Academy made me not want to read it. I know, I know, the title doesn't determine if the book is good or not. But Vampire Academy? Seriously? But I caved because a movie is currently in the planning process, and I wanted to see if it was worth it. It totally was. The romance was like perfect forbidden romance. Even though I hate forbidden romance, it always seems so pointless, but still, this was perfect. As for the plot, seriously not as predictable as I thought it would be (because I judged this book before I started reading it). I'm sitting there like "who the hell did it...Maybe this person..no..say what?!?" the whole time. In the end I was only halfway right *I was right about Natalie being involved*. And I didn't even understand the reasoning until it was explained. I haven't been surprised by the end of a book for a while, and that a book with the name Vampire Academy surprised me is just, well, surprising. The characters were well thought out and engaging. I found myself laughing out loud when Rose flirted with some of the guys, and scowling when someone was a jerk. Rose might be one of my favorite character of all time, she's totally bad-ass and doesn't care about what most people think about her (basically, she what we all wish we were). She totally rolled with the punches; being called a slut(repeatedly) and she literally rolled with the punches when she was attacked. Dimitri is the perfect male lead (and Danila Kozlovsky, who's playing him in the movie is also amazing). The high school drama was pretty intense, the mean girls in this high school are seriously deadly. Favorite quotes: “The greatest and most powerful revolutions often start very quietly, hidden in the shadows. Remember that.” “If I let myself love you, I won't throw myself in front of her. I'll throw myself in front of you.” “This was the kind of dress that changed the world. The kind of dress that started religions.” SUMMARY OF REVIEW(In case you don't actually feel like reading the review): Plot: 5 out of 5 The end hit me like a slap in the face Characters: 5 out of 5 Rose--new favorite character Romance 5 out of 5 Dimitri..Omigosh.. Perfect Boyfriend List Overall Rating: 5 out of 5 Totally PG-14 Tons of sexual comments and an almost sex scene
